Robert Mannion



Robert brings deep experience in and provides expert advice on crisis preparation and management, stakeholder engagement and corporate and change communication.

As well as leading our New Zealand healthcare practice, Robert leads SenateSHJ’s Writing for Impact business writing courses in New Zealand. He is highly regarded by clients for his work in media and presentational training, and in facilitating organisational workshops for change and stakeholder engagement programmes.

He previously headed his own agency, advising major private and public sector clients, and as Strategic Counsel to two winning America’s Cup syndicates on communication and litigation strategy.

Robert has won national journalism awards as a features writer, and brings strong writing skills from his experience as a journalist when he was also co-publisher and editor of New Outlook and a staff member or writer for The Dominion Post, The Sydney Morning Herald, Agence France-Presse (AFP), Metro, Reader’s Digest, The New Zealand Listener and National Business Review.

He spends free time with family, reading, trail riding and swimming.
